About Our Community

Chippingford serves a group of families who are seeking an educational model for their children that is small-group, individualized, and fosters each child’s intellectual, spiritual, and physical development.

Student - Teacher Ratio

1 teacher for every 6 students

Lessons are taught individually or in pairs/trios of students working on similarly-leveled skills.

Programmatic and Cultural Elements of the Program

    • Individual Learning Plans tailored to each student’s needs, interests, and ability levels

    • Students learn at their own pace following their own interests tailord with our Skills Development Pathway which helps them to avoid traditional-school-model “boredom.”

    • Learning with the whole self via projects, hands-on activities, and leveled content

    • Focus on growth and mastery rather than grades and tracking

    • Curriculum is inspired by Montessori at early levels; emphasizes intellect and academic rigor over time

    • Health and physical fitness goals as students work towards acquiring athletic skills

    • Cultural literacy building with content selected by founders, parents, students, and teachers

    • Independent reading of multiple chapter books/novels, selected based on interest and skill level

    • Second language (Spanish) learning through daily lessons

    • Culture infused with reading, music, faith, and life experiences

    • Instruction in Judeo-Christian history, thinking, and models with additional exposure to the ideas and beliefs of other world faiths; optional participation in extracurricular religious practice programs

    • Socio-Emotional Development focusing on each student’s own goals, motivations, and plans for their futures

    • Parents play an active role via curriculum tailoring, parent-teacher one-on-ones, periodic level-based and whole-program meetings

    • Parents are actively involved in the life of the school through daily drop-offs, pick-ups, and parent volunteering to help students learn and grow.

    • Parents participate in quarterly schoolwide and individual class field trips on an ongoing basis.
